What size do you need?

  • The most important thing when estimating the correct size is knowing your child's height.
  • In addition, it is important to know how fast your child is growing. A baby who is well above the average growth curve simply grows a lot faster than a baby who is below the average curve.
  • Furthermore, the proportion of torso/legs is also important. Some children have long legs and wear a size larger of pants. Or with a long torso, a size larger of shirt/sweater.
  • Narrow or wide built. That also makes a difference and certainly with shorts or swimming trunks it is much more important to look at the buttocks than at the length ;-) A sagging swimming trunks is not so practical.

So take the above points into account and decide whether you prefer to buy something that fits nicely or with sufficient growth possibilities. Buying too big can seem attractive, but if a thick sweater only looks best in the middle of summer, it is also a waste. Or that summer suit in the winter will not be worn quickly.

Need help?

If you still can't figure it out and need help, please let us know by email:

  • how tall your son or daughter is,
  • how old and whether he/she is above the curve or not (or in older children whether he/she is tall for his/her age),
  • whether you want to grow it (so you can wear it the same season next year),
  • possibly posture if that is important and
  • which piece of clothing it concerns (because it can turn out differently depending on the brand and type).

We will do our best to provide you with size advice quickly.

Size: 6/12 MND

Fine woolen mittens from Disana made of 100% boiled wool that keep your child's hands nice and warm and dry when playing outside.

Available in 3 different sizes. For dimensions, see the size chart in the attachment.

The mittens in size 1 are without 'thumb'. Ideal for the little ones up to about 6 to 12/18 months (depends a bit on how big the hands are). For the very little ones it is still difficult to put the thumb in a separate opening and it is warmer if the hand is completely covered.

Disana is a German wool brand that works completely sustainably, fairly and transparently and is GOTS certified. The wool is mulesing free and comes from eco-certified & sustainably herded merino sheep flocks in different parts of the world. Disana ensures animal welfare & sustainable management.

In their own Disana Atelier in Germany, the wool is spun and transformed into the much-loved and well-known knitted fabrics from which blankets, sleeping bags, sweaters, cardigans, suits and an entire outdoor line (jackets, winter suits, hats, scarves, mittens) are made.
