Which size should you order?
Buying the right size straight away is simply the best.
And it's not hard. It just takes a few minutes!
I previously wrote this blog about SIZE ADVICE in which I take you step by step through measuring your child.
Step 1: MEASURE your child (bare feet, heels against the wall, mark off on the door frame, etc. ;)
Usually the length of your child is also the size you should choose. But not every child is exactly 104, 110, 116 cm etc. tall. And not every garment fits exactly accordingly.
Today Duns Sweden size advice tips
T-shirt & long sleeve: | Fits true to size to slightly smaller. So 116 still fits just right at 116 cm (after frequent washing) |
Round up, but not more than one size. So for 127 cm size 128 fits but size 134 gives room to grow.
Narrow build: don't choose a larger size or a different brand |
|
Trousers - terry cloth | It really fits a size bigger and is quite wide. |
Don't choose bigger, and rather round up to a size smaller. Especially with small sizes: so with 95 cm choose 92 and you have enough room to grow |
|
Baggy Pants |
These are double sizes and fit like the largest size. So they can be worn for a while longer. |
Choose within the size range of the length. Between the size ranges; for narrow/fine build, choose size down. Otherwise, up to grow into it. |
|
Longsleeve dress |
Fits exactly to size. So at 116 cm length the dress falls exactly on the knee ((and just above after washing). |
Choose this dress really to size. Rounding up falls over the knee (and often looks languid). So size 122 from 122 length and can easily be worn up to 128. |
|
Swing dress | This one is a bit shorter than the long sleeve dress (above) and it also looks great if it falls over the knee. |
Choose this dress one size bigger than the length. So at 116 length choose 122. Can also be at 112 cm e.g. |
|
Skater dress |
It really fits a size bigger. |
Choose this one size smaller than the length. |
|
Romper |
Fits well (so 68 fits a child of 68 cm in height and can be worn for a while) |
Choose a size larger for washable diapers so that you can use them for a long time. (maybe roll up the sleeves) | |
Jumpsuit |
Fits well (so 62 fits 62 and can still fit) |
Round up but not beyond the length corresponding to the size |
|
Playsuit |
This one is a bit more spacious than a jumpsuit. Size 62 easily fits up to 68 cm in length |
Do not choose larger than the rounded measurement. |
|
Zipsuit |
Fits true to size |
Round up a measurement. For 134 cm choose 140 |
|
Onesie |
Double size: fits larger than the largest size |
Do not choose larger than the size range your child falls into. Especially with the small sizes they have more than enough room to grow. |
